เมื่อวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ที่ผ่านมา ทางผู้บริหารสถาบันเอไอที ได้เชิญตัวแทนสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอทีจากทุกประเทศ และสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอที สมาคมแม่ เข้าร่วมหารือในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการหาโมเดลทางการเงินใหม่ของเอไอที ภายใต้หัวข้อ "Open Discussion and Exchange of View on Exploration of a New Financial Funding Model" ซึ่งทางสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอที (ประเทศไทย) ได้ส่งตัวแทนเข้าร่วมหารือ พร้อมกับสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอทีประเทศอื่นๆ อีก รวม 10 ประเทศ

รายละเอียดของการหารือ ได้รับการสรุปโดย President ของเอไอทีและเผยแพร่ใน President's Weekly Letter ฉบับ 1 March 2010 ซึ่งทางตัวแทนสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอที (ประเทศไทย) และตัวแทนสมาคมนักเรียนเก่าเอไอทีประเทศอื่นบางประเทศ พบว่ายังขาดใจความสำคัญบางส่วน จึงได้ทำสรุปขึ้นมาอีกชุดหนึ่ง โดยแสดงรายละเอียดที่ขาดหายไปจากสรุปของ President ด้วย "ข้อความสีฟ้า" และนำมาเผยแพร่เพื่อให้นักเรียนเก่าเอไอทีได้รับทราบสรุปที่ครบถ้วนจากการหารือดังกล่าว
